Demand Planning Analyst

About the role

Gildan, a manufacturer of everyday basic apparel, is looking for a Demand Planning Analyst. The role covers the demand plan, the forecasting process and follow-up on the assigned market, territory or set of customers. It sits in the Demand Planning Department and reports to the Supervisor, Demand Planning.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze point of sale data and propose changes.
• Create the demand plan for the assigned market, territory or set of customers.
• Present the forecast in monthly review meetings.
• Use the o9 system to carry out the related planning activities.
• Prepare the corporate forecast file.
• Analyze discrepancies between forecast and actuals for the assigned area.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, actuarial science, economics or a similar discipline.
• At least three years of experience in retail planning, inventory planning or a forecasting environment.
• Strong analytical skills; good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to make confident, quick decisions autonomously.

Required skills

• Excel, Power Pivot and macros (required).
• Experience with PowerPoint, JDE and/or Hyperion is an asset.
