Supply Operations Coordinator (Temporary)

About the role

SOL Caribbean Ltd is looking for a Supply Operations Coordinator in St. Michael, Barbados, reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager. The role covers six months to one year and involves capturing data on all voyage loads and discharges, producing reports and recording, analysing, verifying and coding transactions in support of the contractual strategy. It is open to current SOL staff and external applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate shipping and inspector source documentation on volumes, product quality and load dates.
• Receive purchase orders transferred by markets and produce sales invoices when comparing POs to supplier and freight forwarder invoices.
• Reconcile PRNI at month end and produce the required month-end reports.
• Produce demurrage invoices accurately and on time.
• Produce cost build-ups and enter purchase orders in the corporate financial accounting system for all products.
• Receive products into inventory at port, vessel and storage origin.
• Use outturn reports and Bill of Lading information to produce final cost build-ups and submit them for approval.
• Produce all applicable import documentation, including manual invoices, proformas, CARICOM and commercial documents, within custom-mandated deadlines.
• Perform any other duties compatible with the level of the position that may be assigned from time to time.

Required profile

• A university degree (preferably in business administration, finance or accounting); 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial statement analysis.
• Well organised, analytical and able to deliver results on time; hard working, detail oriented and with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel at intermediate to advanced level.
