Consumer Sales Agent

About the role

Digicel, a digital connectivity and communications provider serving nine million customers across the Caribbean, Central and South America, is hiring a Consumer Sales Agent in St. Michael. The agent reports to the Consumer Sales Manager and pursues sales opportunities for the Digicel+ product portfolio to new customers while enhancing the experience of existing ones through up-selling and cross-selling.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities for the Digicel+ portfolio and up-sell and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Provide customer service and after-sales support, resolving complaints, queries and concerns.
• Liaise with other departments so that end-to-end transactions are fulfilled.
• Achieve the assigned sales target and the required number of customer contacts daily, weekly and monthly.
• Sell the required mix of Digicel products and services according to targets.
• Record prospect information, appointments, conversations, orders and applications, and deposit cash received from customers, and report this daily, weekly and monthly.
• Maintain and account for device stock.
• Keep customers informed honestly and professionally, and act as an external ambassador of Digicel.

Required profile

• Minimum of three CXC CSEC subjects including English and a numerical subject (Accounts, Mathematics or Physics), or equivalent.
• Previous sales experience with demonstrated success.
• Previous customer service experience is an asset.

• Good computer skills and knowledge of the Internet and applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and time-management skills.
• Customer-oriented, flexible, quick-thinking and trainable.
• Ability to learn new tools quickly and adapt to different customers.

The role involves long hours, weekend and public holiday work, frequent customer site visits, travel out of town and overnight trips, and working in dusty, dirty and hot conditions.
