Child Care Center Director (Assistant Director)

About the role

BrightPath Kids, formerly The Children's House, is looking for an Assistant Director for its center in Bridgetown, Barbados. You will work with the Center Director, teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in care, following NAEYC guidelines. The position is full-time, with a pay range of $43k-$52k per year.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Maintain that all staff understand the objectives and expectations of each classroom.
• Assist the Center Director with compliance with child care licensing requirements and company policies.
• Handle administrative duties in the center office.
• Substitute as Center Director when they are absent.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• 2+ years of child care or teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
