Substitute Program Aide (Elementary)

About the role

The Substitute Program Aide supports Program Leaders at Golden Ridge Elementary, providing assistance in an unstructured environment with elementary‑age children. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging space where children can develop skills, explore interests, and feel a sense of belonging.

Key responsibilities

• Implement program activities that promote learning, skill development, and community involvement.
• Build positive, healthy relationships with children, responding to their unique needs and interests.
• Ensure constant supervision and safety of children throughout all activities.
• Apply positive behavior‑support techniques to encourage respectful and cooperative interactions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Program Leaders or school staff.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Ability to lift 5–50 lb occasionally and perform frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop community relations among school clientele.
