Service Advisor

About the role

The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for customers visiting or calling the garage. You will ensure every interaction is handled promptly, courteously, and with a clear focus on delivering high‑quality service and accurate information.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls within three rings and greet all visitors courteously.
• Provide accurate information and answers to customer queries.
• Prepare Customer Job Sheets by listening to concerns, documenting vehicle details, parts, labour charges, and delivery timelines.
• Explain the Job Sheet contents to customers, obtain their approval and signature.
• Coordinate test drives with technicians when required to diagnose issues.
• Communicate progress between the Quality Control Inspector and workshop staff.
• Ensure all requested work is completed as per the Job Sheet and keep the customer informed of any additional repairs or costs.
• Deliver a clean vehicle to the customer, explain the work performed, and remind them of the next maintenance schedule.
• Follow up with a telephone call after service completion.
