Rental Agent – Customer-Focused Vehicle Rental

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Rental Agent to join our Rentals Team at Courtesy Garage Limited, a leading automotive company in Barbados. You will guide customers through the vehicle rental process, ensuring a smooth experience from reservation to return while supporting revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with rental inquiries, reservations and bookings.
• Explain rental policies, rates, insurance coverage and terms.
• Process rental agreements accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct vehicle inspections at pickup and return, documenting condition.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, road‑worthy and ready for customer use.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Promote additional products and services to enhance the customer experience.
• Coordinate vehicle availability to maximise fleet utilisation.
• Monitor vehicle movements, maintain accurate rental records and report damages or maintenance needs.
• Liaise with service and maintenance teams to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
• Assist with vehicle deliveries and collections when required.
• Identify upselling opportunities and build relationships with individual and corporate customers.
• Follow up on inquiries and reservations to achieve rental targets.
• Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
• Process customer payments and prepare daily cash and transaction reports.
• Maintain accurate customer records.

Required profile

• Customer‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic numeracy for handling payments and billing.
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

Required skills
