Monitoring & Evaluation Internship – Bridgetown

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will support the Vulnerability Analysis & Mapping and M&E Unit of the World Food Programme’s Caribbean office. Working in Bridgetown, the intern will assist with data collection, cleaning, reporting and knowledge management to strengthen evidence‑based decision‑making across 22 Caribbean countries.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, clean and organise monitoring and evaluation data from programme activities, assessments and surveys.
• Maintain databases, monitoring trackers and documentation repositories.
• Prepare tables, charts and simple dashboards for internal reporting.
• Draft monitoring reports, presentations, factsheets and briefing notes.
• Support the design and implementation of surveys, assessments and evaluations, including tool development and note‑taking.
• Conduct desk reviews, literature reviews and background research on food security, social protection and climate resilience.
• Document lessons learned, good practices and success stories.
• Assist in organising workshops, trainings and learning events, including preparation of materials and follow‑up tracking.

Required profile

• Demonstrated interest in monitoring and evaluation, research or international development.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme (or recent graduate) and attended classes in the past 12 months.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel.
• KoboToolbox or ODK for digital data collection.
• Power BI, Tableau or similar data‑visualisation tools.
• Basic GIS software knowledge.
