Seasonal Kitchen Steward

About the role

As a Kitchen Steward you will ensure the kitchen runs smoothly by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This seasonal position is based at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a luxury resort on Barbados’ Platinum Coast.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the industrial dishwasher – sort, load, unload and store clean dishes, glasses, cutlery and utensils.
• Transport food and supplies between storeroom, kitchen and service areas.
• Report and remove broken or chipped items from circulation and keep inventory up‑to‑date.
• Maintain dry, clean floors using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Assist with set‑up and breakdown of service areas for meals and functions.
• Clean stoves, ovens, grills, refrigerators and other equipment using suitable cleaning solutions.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently or as part of a team.
• Police certificate of character.
• Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays.
