Seasonal Houseman

About the role

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Seasonal Houseman supports the housekeeping team at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a luxury resort on Barbados’ Platinum Coast. The role involves assisting with guest requests, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the property’s public and back‑of‑house areas remain clean and well‑stocked during the high‑occupancy season.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfill special guest requests for items such as cribs, cots, extra towels and other amenities.
• Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from Room Attendant carts promptly.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Restock and maintain housekeeping supplies, linens and equipment throughout the resort.
• Assist Room Attendants with room turnover during peak periods and support deep‑cleaning projects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of closets, storage areas and common spaces.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Calm and courteous focus on guest needs at all times.
