Production Manager – Digital Label Printing

About the role

DigiLabels Inc, a fully digital printing company in Barbados, is seeking a Production Manager to lead its end‑to‑end label printing operations. The role combines oversight of digital press workflows, finishing processes and continuous‑improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Oversee digital printing and finishing operations, including varnishing, foiling, die‑cutting, slitting, inspection and packing.
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, waste percentage, uptime and OEE.
• Maintain quality standards and compliance with ISO 9001, GMP and FSMS.
• Lead, coach and develop production and warehouse teams.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
• Manage equipment maintenance and support capital investment planning.
• Prepare daily/weekly production reports and communicate performance to senior management.
• Act as point of contact for escalations related to production delays or quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Printing Technology, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in label production management, preferably with digital printing.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience with Lean, 5S, Kaizen and continuous‑improvement methodologies.

Required skills

• Digital press workflows on Domino and Xeikon platforms.
• Operation of finishing equipment such as die‑cutters, foil units, varnishers and slitters.
• Colour‑management systems: Pantone, ICC profiling and spectrophotometer usage.
• LabelTraxx or similar MIS/ERP systems.
• Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement techniques.
