Body Shop Operational Excellence Manager

About the role

Inchcape Barbados, part of Inchcape's global network, is looking for a Body Shop Operational Excellence Manager to lead its Body Shop team in St. Michael. The role manages an efficient and profitable body shop operation while providing strong leadership to a diverse, cross-functional team, driving customer satisfaction and retention, maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality, controlling costs and engaging employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the department's annual operating budget, monitor financial performance and control costs.
• Oversee work-in-progress, minimising liabilities, capturing potential revenue and keeping workflow efficient.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives and deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to attract new business and retain customers.
• Lead and motivate a diverse team, communicating departmental and individual goals clearly.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimise processes, boost productivity and maintain quality.
• Monitor, analyse and report operational KPIs, identifying gaps and adding measures where needed.
• Partner with Training and Development to run training programmes for workshop personnel, and ensure estimators, quality control and collision repair staff receive documentation, training and technical updates.
• Maintain communication through daily engagement, team meetings and one-on-one discussions, and resolve operational challenges professionally.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in an operational or leadership role.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations of cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong understanding of people management, financial management and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Exceptional communication skills and delegation ability.
• Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar business applications.
