Monitoring & Evaluation Internship – Bridgetown

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will support the Vulnerability Analysis & Mapping and M&E Unit of the WFP Caribbean office. Working under close supervision, the intern will gain practical exposure to data collection, analysis, reporting and knowledge management across 22 Caribbean countries.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, clean and organise monitoring and evaluation data from surveys, assessments and programme activities.
• Maintain databases, trackers and documentation repositories to monitor outputs and outcomes.
• Prepare simple visualisations such as tables, charts and dashboards for internal reporting.
• Assist in drafting monitoring reports, presentations, factsheets and learning products.
• Support the design and implementation of surveys, questionnaires and data‑collection tools.
• Document lessons learned, good practices and success stories from WFP Caribbean programmes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated interest in monitoring & evaluation, data analysis, food security or international development.
• Experience through coursework, research projects, volunteer work or previous internships involving data collection, analysis or reporting.
• Current enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate programme (or recent graduate) and fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity or interest in digital data‑collection and visualisation tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, Power BI, Tableau or GIS software.
