Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide legal support across a diverse portfolio of businesses within the Group, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks while supporting business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory and operational matters.
• Identify legal risks and recommend commercially sound solutions.
• Support corporate governance, compliance, and internal investigations.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as supplier, service, licensing and distribution contracts.
• Assist with commercial transactions, procurement activities and strategic initiatives.
• Manage contract review processes and maintain legal templates.
• Support litigation, claims and dispute resolution with external counsel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent and Legal Education Certificate.
• Admission to the Barbados Bar and eligibility to practice law in Barbados.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification legal experience, preferably in‑house.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, contract management and regulatory compliance.
