Attorney-at-Law – Associate

About the role

Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, is expanding its Barbados office and seeks an Associate to join the Property & Real Estate department. The role supports the Partner and Head of Real Estate, delivering high‑quality legal services across the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate promptly with clients and attorneys, ensuring clear and efficient exchanges.
• Draft, review, negotiate and settle contracts, leases, mortgages and other documents related to real‑estate sales, acquisitions, hotel and commercial projects.
• Manage real‑estate transactions from initiation to completion, coordinating all necessary steps.
• Conduct legal research and assist on other firm matters as required.

Required profile

• Law Degree and Legal Education Certificate with at least five years post‑qualification experience.
• CARICOM Skilled National Status.
• Strong experience in property and real‑estate law.
• Ability to work collaboratively in local, regional and global teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating real‑estate contracts, leases and mortgages.
• Legal research competence.
