Houseperson – Hotel Housekeeping Support

About the role

The Houseperson works closely with Room Attendants to maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel, playing an integral part of the housekeeping team.

Key responsibilities

• Remove trash and linen from work areas, carts, and closets, and transport them to the loading dock or dumpster.
• Report linen shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
• Keep storage and distribution areas clean and organized.
• Distribute linen and supplies to hotel areas according to established par levels.
• Deliver miscellaneous goods, supplies, and roll‑away beds or baby cribs to guest rooms and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors, including sweeping, vacuuming, washing floors, dusting furniture, and cleaning elevators and tracks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 lb regularly; push/pull carts up to 250 lb.
• Manual dexterity and ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.

Required skills

• Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and carts.
