Fusion 360 CAM Programming Expert

About the role

Mercor is seeking a seasoned Fusion 360 CAM Programming Expert to create and evaluate grading rubrics for CAM solutions. This remote contract position offers flexible hours and competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Author 10‑criterion rubrics for grading Fusion 360 CAM programs based on provided CAD models and machining context.
• Write clear verification rationales for each criterion to ensure objective assessments.
• Review sample CAM solutions, explain pass/fail outcomes, and suggest improvements.
• Develop grading rubrics that reflect expert machinist approval standards.
• Provide detailed reasoning behind each criterion to enhance evaluation accuracy.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Fusion 360 CAM and access to a Fusion 360 license.
• Ability to program 4‑axis and/or 5‑axis CNC toolpaths.
• Minimum 5 years of CAM programming experience.
• Strong production judgment to assess safe machine operations.
• Fluent written English, as all deliverables are text‑based.
• Preferred: experience as a CAM instructor or teaching background.
