Accounts Clerk – Hospitality Sector

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Clerk to support the day‑to‑day accounting operations of a hospitality organisation. The role involves handling cash, payroll assistance, and managing both accounts payable and receivable while maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Verify daily cash takings, report discrepancies and prepare bank deposits and reconciliations.
• Maintain cash floats and process approved petty‑cash reimbursements.
• Assist with weekly payroll by collecting timesheets and payroll information.
• Review petty‑cash vouchers to ensure required receipts and approvals are present.
• Monitor receivables, prepare invoices and statements, record payments and support collections.
• Process supplier invoices, ensure proper support, and record them accurately.
• Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on any discrepancies.
• Prepare cheques, payment listings and assist with supplier payments.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and follow established procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
• Knowledge of payroll and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience using Adagio accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
