Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

Sol Aviation Service Limited is seeking a Junior Aviation Technical Manager to oversee aviation operations across selected Caribbean and South American locations. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will guide airport superintendents and supervisors, ensure compliance with Sol, Shell and JIG procedures, and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional guidance and supervision to airport superintendents and supervisors in assigned markets.
• Implement aviation operational standards, HSE and product quality programs, and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor control programs covering assets, cash handling, oil loss and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and coordinating capital investment projects and new technologies.
• Represent Sol at Joint Operations Committees, negotiate contracts and supply agreements with airports and government authorities.
• Develop regional aviation strategy in collaboration with senior management.
• Support marine terminal product clearance, stock monitoring and supply coordination.
• Prepare and manage OPEX, CAPEX, training budgets and financial reporting for the region.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional with a background in aviation or airport operations.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, able to prepare budgets and present results.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder representation.
• Willingness to travel within the Caribbean and South America.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aviation operational standards and HSE practices.
• Familiarity with asset and cash‑handling control processes.
• Understanding of contract negotiation and supply chain coordination.
