Junior Aviation Technical Manager – Caribbean & South America

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Aviation Technical Manager to oversee aviation operations in selected Caribbean and South American locations. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will guide airport superintendents and supervisors, ensuring safe and efficient airport and marine terminal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations in line with Sol Aviation, Shell and JIG procedures.
• Develop and supervise airport and marine terminal visit plans, coaching airport supervisors.
• Implement aviation operational standards, HSE and product quality programs, and drive cost efficiency.
• Monitor control programs for assets, cash handling, oil loss and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and coordinating capital investment projects and new technologies.
• Represent the company in Joint Operations Committees and negotiate contracts with airport and government authorities.
• Develop regional aviation strategy together with GM/RM and support marine terminal product clearance.
• Prepare and manage the OPEX, CAPEX, training and other income budgets for the assigned area.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Sales.
• Participate in industry forums (IATA, ALTA, JIG) and lead operational discussions with international partners.

Required profile

• Ability to provide functional guidance to affiliates and manage airport operations.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance, stocks and financial results.
• Experience in coordinating with multiple internal departments and external authorities.
• Good understanding of HSE, product quality and aviation industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for contract and stakeholder management.
