Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

The Junior Aviation Technical Manager will oversee aviation operations across selected Caribbean and South American locations. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role provides functional guidance to affiliates and supervises airport superintendents and supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations, ensuring compliance with Sol Aviation, Shell, and JIG procedures.
• Develop and manage airport and marine terminal visit plans, coaching airport supervisors.
• Implement aviation operational standards, HSE and product‑quality programs, and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor control programs for assets, cash handling, oil loss, and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and coordinating capital‑investment projects and new technologies.
• Represent the company in Joint Operations Committees and negotiate contracts with airports and government authorities.
• Develop regional aviation strategy in collaboration with senior management.
• Support marine terminal product clearance, monitor stock levels, and ensure reliable supply.
• Prepare and execute OPEX, CAPEX, and other budget components for the assigned area.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Sales.

Required profile

• Experience in aviation operations management, preferably within Caribbean or South American markets.
• Ability to supervise airport personnel and coordinate with multiple internal departments.
• Strong understanding of HSE compliance, product quality standards, and budget management.
• Excellent communication skills for representation in industry forums and joint committees.
