Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

Sol Aviation Service Limited is seeking a Junior Aviation Technical Manager to oversee aviation operations across selected Caribbean and South American locations. You will provide functional guidance to affiliates, supervise airport superintendents and supervisors, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and cost‑efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations in line with Sol Aviation, Shell and JIG procedures.
• Develop and supervise airport and marine terminal visit plans, coaching airport supervisors.
• Implement aviation operational standards, HSE and product‑quality programs.
• Monitor control programmes covering assets, cash handling, oil loss and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and coordinating capital‑investment projects and new‑technology implementations.
• Represent Sol at Joint Operations Committees and negotiate contracts with airports and government authorities.
• Prepare and manage OPEX, CAPEX, other income and training budgets for the assigned region.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Sales.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in aviation or airport operations management.
• Strong understanding of HSE, product quality and cost‑control principles.
• Ability to lead and coach multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aviation operational standards and industry best practices.
• Experience with asset and cash‑handling control processes.
• Familiarity with budgeting, CAPEX planning and financial reporting.
