Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

The Junior Aviation Technical Manager will oversee aviation operations across selected Caribbean and South American locations for Sol Aviation. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role provides functional guidance to affiliates and manages airport operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and cost‑efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations, control and product quality in line with Sol Aviation, Shell and JIG procedures.
• Develop and supervise airport and marine terminal visit plans, coaching Airport Supervisors and related personnel.
• Implement aviation operational standards, HSE and product quality programs, and monitor cost efficiency.
• Oversee control programmes for assets, cash handling, oil loss and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and coordinating capital investment projects and operational efficiencies.
• Represent the company at Joint Operations Committees and negotiate contracts with airports and government authorities.
• Develop regional aviation strategy together with GM/RM and support special projects.
• Monitor stock levels, supply chain coordination and budget execution for OPEX, CAPEX and other income.

Required profile

• Experience managing aviation or airport operations in Caribbean or South American markets.
• Strong understanding of HSE, product quality and asset control procedures.
• Ability to develop and execute operational budgets and capital projects.
• Proven leadership skills to coach Airport Supervisors and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication for representing the company in joint committees and negotiations.

Required skills
