Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

The Junior Aviation Technical Manager will support the Regional Manager in overseeing aviation operations across selected Caribbean and South American locations. This role combines operational oversight, safety compliance, and coordination with airport authorities to ensure efficient and high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional guidance to airport superintendents and supervisors in assigned markets.
• Implement aviation operational standards, HSE and product quality programmes, and monitor cost efficiency.
• Oversee control programmes covering assets, cash handling, oil loss and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and coordinating capital investment projects and new technology deployments.
• Negotiate and review contracts, supply and operator agreements with airports and government bodies.
• Develop regional aviation strategy in collaboration with senior management.
• Support marine terminal product clearance, tank releases and ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Prepare and manage the OPEX, CAPEX, training and other budget components for the assigned area.
• Represent the company in Joint Operations Committees, industry forums (IATA, ALTA, JIG) and financial performance meetings.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education or equivalent experience in aviation, logistics or related fields.
• Strong understanding of airport operations, safety regulations and product quality standards.
• Proven ability to lead and coach multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with external stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with experience in budgeting and financial performance monitoring.

Required skills

• Familiarity with asset and cash‑handling control processes.
• Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management.
