Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Aviation Technical Manager to oversee aviation operations in selected Caribbean and South American locations. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will provide functional guidance to airport superintendents and supervisors, ensuring compliance with Sol Aviation, Shell and JIG procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations, ensuring product quality and adherence to HSE and safety standards.
• Develop and manage airport and marine terminal visit plans, coaching airport supervisors and related personnel.
• Implement operational standards, monitor control programs (assets, cash handling, oil loss, payment processes) and support capital investment projects.
• Review and negotiate contracts, supply and operator agreements with airports and government authorities.
• Prepare and execute the regional budget focusing on OPEX, CAPEX, other income and training.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Sales.
• Represent the company in industry forums such as IATA, ALTA and JIG and present financial results at Joint Operations meetings.
• Support marine terminal product clearance, monitor stock levels and ensure reliable supply.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in aviation, engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of airport operations, HSE practices and aviation regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and budgeting skills with ability to manage OPEX and CAPEX.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Caribbean or South American locations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HSE standards and aviation operational procedures.
• Familiarity with IATA, ALTA and JIG industry frameworks.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting and contract negotiation.
