Gender Analysis Consultant for UNICEF Caribbean MCO

About the role

The UNICEF Caribbean Multi-Country Office seeks a consultant to conduct a comprehensive gender and child‑rights analysis across twelve Caribbean states and to develop a results‑aligned Gender Equality Workplan for the 2027–2031 programme cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse gender and child‑rights issues, assess implementation of previous Gender Programmatic Review recommendations, and identify priority gender inequalities.
• Map national gender priorities, policies, and institutional capacities, aligning them with CARICOM and regional frameworks.
• Integrate gender equality goals across the three MCO programme outcomes and develop a practical, cost‑conscious workplan with clear actions, indicators, and accountability mechanisms.
• Define an Adolescent Girls Accelerator Package as a cross‑cutting priority and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen gender integration, monitoring and accountability.
• Facilitate a regional workshop to validate findings and ensure alignment with national and UNICEF global priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gender analysis, programme planning, and workplan development within international development or UN contexts.
• Strong understanding of gender equality cross‑cutting principles, regional Caribbean frameworks, and UNICEF’s Gender Equality Action Plan.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with ability to produce clear, actionable recommendations.
