Gender Analysis Consultant for UNICEF Caribbean MCO

About the role

UNICEF Caribbean Multi‑Country Office seeks a consultant to conduct a comprehensive gender and child‑rights analysis and develop a results‑aligned Gender Equality Workplan for the 2027‑2031 programme cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse gender and child‑rights issues across twelve Caribbean states and assess implementation of previous Gender Programmatic Review recommendations.
• Identify priority gender inequalities, barriers and bottlenecks affecting girls, boys and adolescents and map them to the MCO’s three programme outcomes.
• Integrate lessons from the Spotlight Initiative and regional frameworks into a practical, cost‑conscious workplan with clear actions, indicators and accountability mechanisms.
• Define an Adolescent Girls Accelerator Package and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen gender integration, monitoring and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gender analysis, programme planning and development within international development or UNICEF contexts.
• Strong understanding of gender‑based violence, child protection, education and health issues in the Caribbean region.

Required skills

• Ability to conduct multi‑country gender assessments and synthesize findings into actionable workplans.
• Experience mapping national policies, institutional capacities and aligning them with regional frameworks.
