Senior Plant Attendant

About the role

The Senior Plant Attendant will ensure safe and efficient daily operation of the LPG plant in Barbados, including overseeing tanker discharge activities. This role reports to the LPG Foreman and supports the Facility/Operations Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain highest safety standards, monitor HSE policies and report issues promptly.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance on drains, pipelines, fire systems, pumps and plant equipment.
• Perform start‑up, shutdown and calibration of filling scales, and test fire pumps and extinguishers weekly.
• Assist with tanker discharge operations, tank dips, pipeline pressure monitoring and customer order dispatch.
• Document daily operations, waste disposal records and ensure clean housekeeping of the depot.

Required profile

• Secondary education with technical college qualification and 3‑5 years experience in an industrial facility.
• Proven ability to plan work independently, meet deadlines and work well in a team.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and willingness to deputize for the LPG foreman when required.
