Senior Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Senior Human Resources Officer will work closely with the HR team to strengthen the organisation's people strategy. This role involves planning, implementing and evaluating HR policies, programmes and employee relations initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the management and administration of the HR function across the organisation.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant labour legislation and ensure compliance.
• Provide consultation and guidance to management on staffing, performance management, employee relations and disciplinary matters.
• Participate actively in recruitment, selection and onboarding activities.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance.
• Assist in preparing and administering employee contracts, HR policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and employee incentive programmes.
• Facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance employee knowledge, skills and performance.

Required profile

• Excellent organisation, multi‑tasking and planning skills; highly pro‑active.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient in MS Office applications.
• Proven training facilitation skills with the ability to engage participants.
• Knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
• BSc in Human Resource Management or related discipline and at least three years of experience.
