Risk Management Senior Associate / Officer – Talent Pool

About the role

IDB Invest is creating a talent pool of qualified Risk Management Senior Associates or Officers to support its current and future business needs across the organization. This pool will enable the bank to draw on expertise in risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation for infrastructure, energy, corporate, and project finance transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support origination, execution, and monitoring of infrastructure, energy, corporate, and project finance deals by providing independent credit risk assessments.
• Identify key risk issues, evaluate complex financing structures, and recommend practical mitigation solutions.
• Review and validate credit ratings, monitor non‑sovereign portfolios, and prepare detailed risk reports for senior management.
• Collaborate on debt restructuring initiatives and apply risk methodologies and analytical tools to assess exposure.
• Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across teams to strengthen risk governance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of relevant professional experience in risk management, credit analysis, or related positions.
• Strong analytical abilities and proven capacity to develop innovative solutions.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French are a plus.
