Group Financial Controller – Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Group Financial Controller to join the management team of a leading hotel operator in Barbados. The role will oversee all financial functions across multiple properties, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and strategic financial guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day finance operations, prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and produce monthly/annual forecasts with the General Manager and department heads.
• Oversee revenue control for rooms, F&B, events and monitor key performance indicators such as occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
• Supervise accounts receivable/payable, cash handling, banking, and cash flow management.
• Develop and maintain internal financial policies, controls and risk‑management procedures.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings and ensure compliance with Barbados legislation.
• Provide payroll accounting support and ensure timely statutory deductions.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or finance professional with extensive experience in hotel or hospitality finance.
• Proven ability to lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost control and profitability.
