Graduate Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Aecon is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its Civil East sector. You will work alongside experienced professionals on complex infrastructure projects such as bridges, highways, tunnels and airports, helping to control costs, manage contracts and mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project development to align with schedules and budgets.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes and assist in drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Process interim applications, variations, and final accounts for subcontractors.
• Collect records to verify additional payments and defend claims.
• Participate in weekly financial forecasting and prepare cost estimates.
• Maintain records of contract variations and generate profitability reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (2:2 or higher preferred).
• Full driver’s licence preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, planning and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
