Accounts Payables Clerk

About the role

The Accounts Payables Clerk will ensure timely processing of payments for Chickmont Foods Ltd. This role involves entering invoices, preparing payments and reconciling the AP sub‑ledger with supplier statements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day financial transactions, verifying, classifying and coding payments to the correct GL account.
• Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment reports.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure company procedures are executed and adhered to.
• Liaise with suppliers to keep accounts reconciled.
• Act as petty cash custodian for the administration department.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Business Studies or Accounts.
• At least two years of experience in accounts payable.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
