Road Tanker Wagon Driver

About the role

The Road Tanker Wagon Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, transport, and off‑loading of petroleum products to various sites across Barbados, ensuring compliance with health, safety, security and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain clean cab, and report defects promptly.
• Ensure loading safety procedures are followed, including use of PPE, master switch off, parking brake on, and proper documentation of product type and quantity.
• Complete accurate meter control and trip logs, report any delays or incidents, and follow prescribed routes while observing traffic rules.
• Engage with customers to confirm unloading plans, verify product grade and volume, and provide a professional delivery experience.
• Participate in HSSE training, safety meetings, emergency drills, and waste management practices.

Required profile

• Secondary education and a penalty‑free heavy goods vehicle driving licence.
• 3 to 5 years of experience driving heavy goods vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE and emergency codes compliance.
• Ability to self‑plan, motivate, and deliver results in a team environment.
