Quality Assistant

About the role

The Quality Assistant will support GCG in maintaining compliance with internal and external quality standards across our aviation and culinary operations. You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure food safety, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with departments to close audit items and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Conduct sensory product evaluations and analytical testing (chlorine, quaternary components, temperature).
• Assist in HACCP audits/inspections of departments, suppliers and subcontractors, producing reports and ensuring corrective actions.
• Collect microbiological swabs, food, water and ice samples; interpret total bacterial counts and address out‑of‑spec results.
• Report out‑of‑spec occurrences to the HACCP Manager promptly.
• Create and maintain a documented HACCP plan for the facility, monitoring SOP and SSOP compliance.
• Evaluate CCPs, CPs, GMPs and prerequisite programs according to the company HACCP program.
• Periodically review quality and food‑safety performance of products, services and processes.
• Support additional projects within the wider Quality department.

Required profile

• Pursuing or holding a BSc in Food Science or a related field.
• Relevant quality or food‑safety certification (e.g., CQE) is a plus.
• At least three years of experience in food safety, quality assurance or HACCP implementation.

Required skills

• HACCP audit and documentation.
• Microbiological testing and interpretation.

• Knowledge of SOP, SSOP, GMP and prerequisite programs.
