Finance Officer - Reconciliations

About the role

The Finance Officer – Reconciliations ensures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of balance‑sheet reconciliations across designated territories. The role supports financial reporting integrity by preparing reconciliations, investigating differences and assisting with audit and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations for assigned territories within established timelines.
• Investigate, resolve and clear reconciling items promptly, monitoring aged items and escalating when necessary.
• Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciliations and post journal entries accurately.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities and provide schedules for management reporting.
• Liaise with agents, operational teams and regional finance personnel to obtain information for issue resolution.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to reconciliation processes, efficiency and controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CGA, CMA or equivalent) with at least Level 3 completed.
• Minimum four years of experience in accounting or finance, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is an asset.
