Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO)

About the role

The Hive Careers is looking for a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to partner with the CEO in driving growth, profitability and regional expansion across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. This senior executive position requires a commercially‑focused leader who can turn strategy into measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to implement strategic and commercial priorities.
• Lead revenue generation through business development, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships and market expansion.
• Protect existing revenue by overseeing client retention, account management and contract performance.
• Drive cost‑optimization and operational‑efficiency initiatives to improve margins.
• Provide executive oversight of Sales, Operations, Talent Delivery and other core functions.
• Own P&L performance, budgets, forecasts, margins and key business KPIs.
• Negotiate high‑level commercial agreements and strengthen enterprise client relationships.
• Identify new markets, service offerings and revenue opportunities in the Caribbean.
• Implement scalable processes, technology adoption and performance‑management systems.
• Build and develop high‑performing leadership teams and manage business risks.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in general management, commercial leadership, operations, consulting, staffing or HR technology.
• Proven ownership of P&L, revenue and profitability targets.
• Track record of generating and protecting revenue while optimizing costs.
• Experience managing enterprise clients, strategic partnerships and executive‑level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial, financial, strategic and operational acumen.
• Experience leading multiple business functions and senior teams, preferably in staffing, outsourcing or workforce solutions.
• Regional or multi‑country leadership experience in the Caribbean is an advantage.
