Custodian – Temporary Position

About the role

The Estates at St. George is seeking a reliable Custodian for a temporary assignment. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all public and staff areas of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Keep all public areas, stairwells, and elevators clean and free of debris.
• Clean, restock, and sanitize bathrooms throughout the day.
• Maintain staff quarters in a tidy condition.
• Perform periodic high‑touch surface sanitisation across the property.
• Empty, clean, and sanitise building garbage receptacles.
• Monitor and replenish soap and sanitizer dispensers.
• Report any faulty equipment to the office promptly.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary school education.
• Previous experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar cleaning role.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with pleasant interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and conscientious work habits.

Required skills

• Industrial cleaning equipment operation and maintenance.
• Safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous substances.
