Senior Electrician

About the role

The Senior Electrician will lead the installation of electrical provisions for HVAC equipment and manage end‑to‑end residential and commercial electrical projects. You will work within a collaborative team, receiving both technical and administrative support as needed. The role requires planning, material coordination and on‑site inspection preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage installation of electrical systems for HVAC equipment and full‑scale residential/commercial projects.
• Plan work schedules, layout tasks in advance and accurately request material quantities.
• Coordinate with main contractors and sub‑contractors to minimise re‑work and project delays.
• Prepare job sites for inspections and follow up with GEED inspectors.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct.
• Collaborate respectfully with all ESSCO team members, contractors and internal departments.

Required profile

• Proven ability to perform and lead electrical work on residential and commercial projects.
• Experience working with three‑phase and single‑phase electrical systems.
• Strong planning skills with the ability to request accurate material amounts the first time.
• Effective liaison and coordination skills with contractors and sub‑contractors.
• Dependable, detail‑oriented communication and a valid light‑goods vehicle licence for travel.

• Renewable power installations (solar, wind) and battery storage systems.
• Grid interconnection knowledge.
• Understanding of NEC, construction safety regulations, the Grid Code and the SHAW Act.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and email proficiency.
