Senior Asset Liability Management (ALM) Consultant

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a proactive Senior Asset Liability Management (ALM) Consultant to strengthen its balance‑sheet management. You will join the Treasury Division, reporting to the ALM team, and play a key part in scaling the institution’s financing capacity across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or co‑lead projects to enhance the balance‑sheet management framework, including ALM, capital management and funds transfer pricing (FTP).
• Secure stakeholder alignment and obtain necessary institutional approvals.
• Act as technical lead in cross‑functional working groups, shaping strategic discussions on ALM and balance‑sheet sustainability.
• Support implementation and improvement of Treasury and ALM systems, data processes, governance documentation, policies and reporting.
• Perform analysis and monitoring of balance‑sheet risks such as interest‑rate, liquidity, foreign‑exchange and earnings sensitivity.
• Conduct IRRBB analyses, scenario testing, stress testing and other quantitative assessments.
• Maintain and enhance the FTP framework, related methodologies and analytical processes.
• Develop and maintain quantitative models, analytical tools, dashboards and automation solutions.

Required profile

• Highly motivated professional with strong analytical mindset.
• Proven experience in asset‑liability management, balance‑sheet risk analysis and capital management.
• Ability to lead complex projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to influence strategic decisions.
