Legal and Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Legal and Compliance Analyst will support Inchcape CARCAM’s operations across Barbados and Puerto Rico, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Working within a hybrid model, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to mitigate risks and uphold the company’s compliance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements across Inchcape’s six compliance pillars and relevant CARCAM entities.
• Conduct compliance control and risk assessments, maintain the company’s risk tool, and support the annual review of compliance controls.
• Support internal and external audits, compliance training initiatives, and implementation of regulatory requirements in Barbados and Puerto Rico.
• Coordinate the execution, updating, and secure management of contracts, amendments, corporate documents, legal letters and other legal documentation.
• Assist the Legal Manager with matters involving dealers, OEMs, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with automotive sector regulations, including vehicle safety, emissions and consumer protection requirements.
• Manage compliance reporting related to gifts, conflicts of interest and interactions with government officials.
• Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity and compliance across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 2–3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, auditing, risk management or a related field, preferably within the automotive or multinational sector.
• Knowledge of Anti‑Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism regulations as they relate to vehicle sales and purchases.
• Proven ability in compliance risk management, including risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
• Analytical and detail‑oriented with the capacity to identify compliance gaps.
• Collaborative and adaptable, able to work across different countries and cultures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
