Legal and Compliance Analyst

About the role

Join Inchcape CARCAM’s Legal and Compliance team in Barbados as a Legal and Compliance Analyst. You will support the business across CARCAM markets, helping to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks while ensuring strong governance and a culture of integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across Inchcape’s six compliance pillars and relevant CARCAM entities.
• Conduct compliance controls, risk assessments and maintain the company’s risk tool.
• Support internal and external audits, compliance training initiatives and regulatory implementation in Barbados and Puerto Rico.
• Coordinate the execution, updating and secure management of contracts, amendments, corporate documents and legal letters.
• Assist the Legal Manager with matters involving dealers, OEMs, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor automotive sector regulations, including vehicle safety, emissions and consumer protection.
• Manage compliance reporting on gifts, conflicts of interest and interactions with government officials.
• Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity and compliance across the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• 2–3 years of experience in regulatory compliance, auditing, risk management or a related field, preferably in the automotive or multinational sector.
• Knowledge of Anti‑Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism regulations as they relate to vehicle sales and purchases.
• Strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to identify compliance gaps.
• Collaborative, adaptable and able to work across different countries and cultures.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
