Equipment & Inventory Administrator

About the role

The Equipment & Inventory Administrator will manage, catalogue, track and maintain all workshop tools, equipment and assets for the Automotive and Commercial Workshops at Inchcape Barbados. You will ensure accurate inventory records, proper tool identification, and timely reporting of any damaged, missing or defective items while supporting HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, catalogue and barcode all serviceable tools, equipment and workshop assets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in the Cintellate Asset Management System and coordinate with the HSE Coordinator.
• Perform daily HSE Cintellate forklift inspections and support safe storage, handling and use of tools.
• Conduct monthly stock counts for automotive, commercial and special tools, reconciling discrepancies.
• Inspect tools regularly and report any damage, defects or replacement needs within 24 hours.
• Issue tools to technicians, ensure workshop tablets are charged and control access to the Toolroom.
• Maintain a clean, organised and secure Toolroom environment during operational hours (7:45 am‑4:15 pm).

Required profile

• Ability to work the specified operational hours and cover the Toolroom consistently.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
• Commitment to HSE standards and safe handling of equipment.
