Chargeback Analyst

About the role

The Chargeback Analyst works within Gildan's Finance team to evaluate and challenge chargeback claims submitted by customers that may violate compliance guidelines. This role involves detailed research, data validation, and collaboration with internal departments to ensure accurate and compliant processing of deductions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze chargeback claims to determine required documentation and research methods.
• Gather and validate data by reviewing customer websites and contacting their claims or accounting departments.
• Provide information to assess the validity of each claim.
• Maintain and update Customer Daily Logs for tracking claims and historical data.
• Collaborate with the Credit Department to clear claims promptly and ensure all credit documents meet SOX compliance.
• Organize filing systems to keep audit‑ready documentation and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum three years of experience in an accounting or finance environment.
• Strong analytical and online research abilities.
• Attention to detail and capacity to handle large data volumes.
• Effective communication and follow‑up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
