Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

The Manager, Accounts Payable will lead the continuous improvement of AP processes within Gildan’s Shared Services Organization, supporting a complex global environment. This senior position partners with AP leadership and business stakeholders to design and deliver solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in short‑ and long‑term planning with AP senior management to drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with business partners to deliver solutions that meet user needs.
• Manage the development and implementation of integrated initiatives supporting AP strategy.
• Promote understanding of AP roles, processes, and activities across the organization.
• Provide high‑standard customer service to internal and external AP customers.
• Lead staff responsible for vendor master changes, expense report audits, and reporting.
• Support accounting functions, including monthly balance‑sheet reviews, supplemental schedules, and financial roll‑forward schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley key controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a focus on Accounts Payable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years of experience managing large, cross‑functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver business projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
