Senior Plant Attendant

About the role

The Senior Plant Attendant ensures safe and efficient daily operation of the LPG plant in Barbados, including tanker discharge and depot maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain highest safety standards, alerting supervisors of any issues.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on drains, pipelines, fire systems, pumps, and plant equipment.
• Conduct daily start‑up, shutdown and calibration of filling scales.
• Test fire pumps weekly and verify fire line integrity.
• Assist in tanker discharge operations, tank dips, and pipeline pressure monitoring.
• Check and record product storage vessel conditions, manage waste disposal, and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Participate in safety meetings, emergency drills, and training sessions.
• Deputize for the LPG foreman when required.

Required profile

• Secondary education with technical college qualification.
• 3‑5 years experience in an industrial facility.
• Ability to work independently, plan tasks and deliver results on time.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
