Project Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Corporate Project Engineer will support Sol markets in planning, developing and executing terminals, retail and commercial infrastructure projects safely, on time and within budget. The role works closely with internal stakeholders such as RMs, GMs, Operations Managers, Accounting, Sourcing and Legal.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HSE initiatives, demonstrating a culture of safety across all projects and stakeholders.
• Plan, design and manage infrastructure projects from scoping, FEED budgeting, tendering, procurement through to execution and hand‑over.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents, liaise with Sourcing and manage contractor relationships.
• Manage CAPEX budgets, track project costs, timelines and report progress to senior management.
• Oversee material and equipment specifications, conduct technical audits and ensure proper asset categorisation.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in the petroleum industry.
• Strong contract management, negotiation and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form and deliver professional presentations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience using MS Project and engineering‑specific budgeting, contract and procurement tools.
