Teller (Part-Time)

About the role

The Teller will serve members by accurately completing accounting and banking transactions. This role involves providing account services such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and answering member inquiries both in‑person and by phone.

Key responsibilities

• Receive deposits, cash checks, process loan payments and issue savings withdrawals.
• Record and reconcile cash drawer, prepare currency transaction reports and handle foreign‑currency cheques.
• Cross‑sell credit union products, inform members of new services and direct them to appropriate representatives.
• Process special requests such as opening project accounts, exchanging foreign currency and handling safe‑deposit box procedures.
• Maintain compliance with security procedures, dual‑control functions and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in computer use and basic accounting software.
• Experience in customer‑service or service‑oriented projects.
• Energetic self‑starter with strong interpersonal skills, integrity and reliability.
