Senior Procurement Manager (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager will support the Associate Director in driving spend optimisation and overseeing the company’s procurement and sourcing function. Based in Barbados, this 12‑month full‑time contract role involves managing critical supplier relationships, leading complex negotiations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation strategies for high‑complexity supplier agreements, ensuring best value and efficient operational processes.
• Coach and develop the procurement team in vendor management, contracting and negotiation best practices.
• Identify and improve service level agreements in collaboration with executives, contract owners and risk management teams.
• Manage sourcing projects from planning to delivery, incorporating commodity metrics, KPIs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop performance and quality management programmes for key vendors to ensure accountability and strong relationships.
• Create cross‑functional teams to resolve sourcing issues and minimise organisational exposure.
• Educate stakeholders on evolving procurement policies, standards and compliance.
• Collaborate with enterprise leaders to uncover value‑creation and supplier optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Banking or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Proven senior‑level experience in procurement, supplier management and contract negotiation within a regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, audit, governance and third‑party risk requirements.

Required skills

• Agile methodology knowledge or certification.
• Project Management certification or demonstrable experience.
