Commercial Lawyer – Fintech & Corporate (Junior to Mid-Level)

About the role

We are seeking a Barbados‑qualified or LEC‑qualified Attorney‑at‑Law to join our growing Fintech and corporate commercial practice. The position is suitable for junior attorneys with a foundation in corporate law or experienced lawyers with 3+ years in corporate or commercial practice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate trust, payment services and banking agreements.
• Structure and advise on cross‑border corporate structures.
• Advise on fintech and banking agreements.
• Support formation and management of digital assets and payment services terms.
• Assist with licensing and distribution arrangements across digital and traditional platforms.
• Provide legal support on commercial contracts for fintech ventures.
• Assist in corporate structuring for fintechs, banks and payment service providers.
• Support due diligence for business trusts and cross‑border payment services transactions.

Required profile

• Qualified Attorney‑at‑Law in Barbados or an OECS jurisdiction (LEC).
• Junior: 1‑3 years experience, academic or practical exposure to corporate law, strong interest in fintech, excellent drafting and research skills.
• Experienced: 3+ years post‑qualification experience in corporate, contract or commercial law with banking exposure, proven drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, strong commercial awareness and client‑facing capability.

Required skills

• Knowledge of corporate industry economics and rights flows.
• Familiarity with collecting societies, trusts, banking and commercial services agreements.
• Experience with cross‑border legal structures and international clients.
• Strong Microsoft Word and document‑management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters.
